Frequently Asked Questions
A short guide to how Maison La Clef works: membership, requests, billing, and privacy.
1) Membership & tiers
Is Maison La Clef open to everyone?
Maison La Clef is a referral / invitation-based Maison. We may limit or pause new memberships to protect quality and capacity.
What are the tiers and prices?
Reach out to us to know the different tiers prices.
All tiers are monthly, renewable subscriptions (unless Clé Découverte ends as a trial).
What do I get with membership?
Maison La Clef acts on your behalf for reservations and access within scope: restaurants, hotels, select events, and transport. We manage the process end-to-end—clarifying details when needed, contacting the right places, and following up until the best feasible outcome is secured and confirmed.
In parallel, we add a quiet layer of curation. We consider your preferences and the situation (timing, atmosphere, party size, occasion) to guide choices and steer you towards the right fit, so it feels like the right door, at the right moment.
What happens after Clé Découverte?
Clé Découverte is a free trial. At the end of the trial period, it ends automatically. If you wish, you may upgrade to a paid tier at any time during the trial or at the end.
2) Requests & workflow
How do I send a request?
Send requests via:
- Email: Email
- Phone / WhatsApp: Call / WhatsApp
What information should I include?
Minimum recommended:
- Place name + link/address
- Link/address
- Date + time window
- Party size
- Preferences (seating, vibe, budget guidance if relevant)
If a provider requires a phone number/email for confirmation, you authorise us to share the minimum necessary details with them.
How does it work after I send the request?
Our workflow is simple: Request → Execution → Confirmation. You share the essentials, we take it from there—contacting the right places, coordinating details, and following up until the best feasible outcome is secured. Once confirmed, you receive a written summary with all key information in one place.
Availability and outcomes depend on the venue/provider; we do not guarantee access, upgrades, or a specific table/room.
3) Third-party providers & payments
Are you the provider of the restaurant/hotel/event/transport?
No — unless explicitly stated otherwise, Maison La Clef acts as an intermediary. Your underlying contract is with the venue/provider (restaurant, hotel, organiser, transport operator, etc.).
Who pays deposits, tickets, rates, or no-show fees?
All third-party costs remain your responsibility (including deposits, room rates, tickets, transport costs, cancellation/no-show charges, and provider fees).
4) Billing, renewals, upgrades & cancellations
How does monthly renewal work?
Paid tiers renew monthly unless cancelled before the next renewal. Payments are processed through our Swiss payment provider (Payrexx).
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — cancellation can be done before the next renewal and prevents the next month’s charge. Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, we do not provide partial refunds for a started billing period.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my tier?
- Upgrades can be made at any time (may take effect immediately depending on billing configuration).
- Downgrades apply from the next billing month (the next renewal).
5) Privacy, data processing & AI (Euria)
Do you sell my data or share it with third parties?
No. We do not sell your data. We only share the minimum necessary with the venue/provider required to execute your request.
Where is my data stored?
Wherever reasonably possible, we operate using Swiss-based providers and infrastructure (currently including Infomaniak and Proton for operational tooling, and Payrexx for payments).
What is Euria and what do you process with it?
To improve personalisation and operational handling, some reservation-related data may be processed via Infomaniak Euria to help personalise and improve your experience and the handling of requests. We keep this limited to what is necessary and consistent with Swiss data protection principles.
6) Fair use, active requests & quality
What is an “active request”?
An active request is any request that has not yet been confirmed or closed. Once a reservation is confirmed by the venue/provider and the confirmation has been shared with you, the request is no longer considered active.
How many active requests can I have at the same time?
To keep the service precise and relationship-driven, we apply a fair use rule. All Clés: up to 3 active requests at a time.
If you need higher capacity, we may propose a tailored arrangement.
Do you guarantee outcomes (best table / access / upgrades)?
No — we use reasonable efforts, relationships, and follow-ups, but availability and final outcomes depend on the venue/provider.
